SKYWARN TRAINING NET PREAMBLE

Five minutes prior to the net, bring up the appropriate repeater and issue the net pre-announcement:

At 7:30 Start The Net:

QST, QST, QST – This is the Bald Eagle Repeater Assoc Sky warn Training Net.

This is __________ my name is __________. I will be the net control station for this evening.

This net meets every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm local time on the KB3HLL repeater 147.09 MHZ PL 167.9 located On Top Of Bald Eagle MNT in South Williamsport, PA.

In the event of the failure of this repeater the alternate repeater frequency is 145.49 MHZ PL 167.9.

The purpose of this net is to prepare Local Skywarn Amateur Radio Spotters and their equipment for actual emergency situations and provide information of interest to the Local Amateur Radio community.

This is a directed net. All stations will call the net control station before contacting another station. When checking into the net, Please Give you're Call Sign And First Name and use ITU phonetics, IF NECESSARY, when giving you're call sings. Please wait one second before speaking after keying your microphone to prevent drops and missed letters.

Stations needing to leave the net after checking in are asked to call net control and advise you’re securing.
